About This Course
Course Objective:
Scaffolding Erection and Dismantling course is developed for employers and employees; helps employers to meet their federally mandated requirements, while providing employees with adequate knowledge as well as authority to erect and dismantle scaffoldings.
By the end of the course attendees will have attained thorough knowledge on how to erect and dismantle a scaffolding in a safe and secure manner.
Topics:
- Course Introduction
- Introduction to regulation and approved codes of practice
- Scaffolding components & terminology (to include tubes, boards & fittings)
- Various types of Scaffolding
- Hierarchy of controls for safe working at height
- Construction common to all scaffolds (basic frame, Ties, ladders and working platforms)
- Practical sequence of erection independent Scaffold units, – 4m x 2m
- Practical – dismantle independent scaffolds
- Review of finding during erection and dismantling
- Classroom assessment
- Open discussion / Course review

Course Completion:
